MANCHESTER:

How much does it cost? 

£225

Are there discounts available?

Yes! If you join with a partner, you both receive £25 off.

OR if you decide to do both the Manchester and London Showcases, you get them both for £450.

When do I have to pay? 

Once cast and happily paired up we require a £100 deposit in order to start marketing you.  The balance of £125 is due at the first rehearsal.

How do I pay? 

We can accept cash or a cheque.

What does this payment cover?

Essentially we do all the hard work for you, so you can concentrate on what you like doing best –acting!  But to break it down, we will:

Hold auditions to ensure a diverse group of talented actors in the show

Pair you up with a carefully chosen, suitable scene partner

Assist you in finding a piece if you are unable to find one yourselves

Employ a professional director to advise and direct you

Arrange rehearsals at a central Manchester venue

Invite 300 contacts in the industry with professional A5 card invitations and emails

Upload your CV to our website for agents and casting directors to browse

Provide you with invitations for personal letters and emails

Provide you with our mailing list for your personal use

Make phone calls on your behalf to a select number of agents/casting directors

Design show programmes with your CV, photograph and contact details

Produce 2 high value shows on consecutive days at the greenroom. 

Email an attendees list to you after the showcase

What do I perform and how long is my piece? 

Ideally we would like to pair people up, but some actors would prefer a monologue and this can of course be discussed with the director.  Our shows are liked by industry personnel because we keep them to 30 minutes in length.  For that reason we ask monologues to be no more than 2 minutes and duologues no more than 3½ minutes.

What happens after I have been cast? 

We will exchange your contact details with your partner and it is down to you to meet, chat and find a piece.  We will be on hand to help.  You need to be off book for your first rehearsal. In the meantime we will start inviting people and get you up on our website.  We will also provide you with your own invitations so you can write those ever so important personal letters to people too.

Can I come with my own scene partner? 

Of course!  This works very well…if you know someone auditioning or someone you think would also like to do the showcase, talk to the director. It also gets you a £25 discount.

What type of actors are you looking for?

We don’t cast based on experience or training. We are looking for talented, professional, proactive actors. We want people who are actively looking for representation and casting opportunities, people who are willing to write letters and make a few calls to ensure they are seen by the right people.

We would strongly advise actors to write a few carefully chosen letters to people they would particularly like to attend as the personal touch makes a real difference.  We will provide you with invitations to include with these letters.
